Commitment to Safety and Environmental Stewardship

Argent LNG is committed to the highest standards of safety, environmental responsibility, and regulatory compliance across every phase of development.

The project is designed to protect human health, minimize environmental impact, and support the transition to lower-carbon energy through the responsible use of natural gas. By integrating advanced technologies and efficient design, Argent LNG aims to reduce emissions while delivering reliable energy to global markets.

Lower-Carbon Energy Solution

LNG plays a critical role in reducing global emissions by enabling the transition from coal to cleaner-burning natural gas.

U.S. natural gas, particularly from basins such as Haynesville and Appalachia, offers some of the lowest emissions intensity globally. When used in place of coal, LNG can reduce emissions by up to 50% in many markets, supporting global climate goals while maintaining energy reliability.

  • Site and Environmental Planning

Project development begins with detailed environmental assessments to minimize impacts on wetlands, ecosystems, and surrounding communities. Site and pipeline routes are carefully evaluated in coordination with regulatory agencies.

  • Construction

Construction activities follow strict federal and state standards, including FERC requirements and industry best practices, to ensure safety, environmental protection, and responsible execution.

  • Restoration

Following construction, impacted areas are restored to pre-construction conditions wherever possible, including soil replacement, replanting native vegetation, and ongoing environmental monitoring.

  • Operational

During operations, rigorous integrity management programs, including inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance, ensure safe, reliable performance while minimizing environmental impact.

  • Regulatory Compliance and Oversight

Argent LNG is advancing through the regulatory process with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and is committed to meeting or exceeding all applicable federal, state, and local environmental and safety requirements.
