Strategically located near major shale-gas plays and boasting a vast network of gas pipelines, Argent LNG benefits from ideal marine conditions, supportive political and community environments, and existing infrastructure.
LNG has spurred coal-to-gas transitions in Europe and the US. However, the global transition away from coal to LNG is essential. Argent LNG is at the forefront of this movement, employing innovative liquefaction technology with a focus on emission reduction, efficiency, and reliability. Our facility will be powered by up to 23 MW of wind-generated electricity, supplemented by gas-generated compression motors, aligning seamlessly with stringent emission standards.
Spanning 144 acres west of Belle Pass, our facility, EPC will be Worley and constructed by Kiewit, will utilize proven liquefaction technology with an initial capacity of 10 MTPA at an estimated cost of US $10 billion. Phase two will be to add up to an additional 10 MTPA. Additionally, we'll feature a smaller-scale plant tailored to supply LNG for next-generation LNG-powered Offshore Supply Vessels (OSVs) in the Gulf of Mexico. Port Fourchon is obtaining the authority to dredge to 50 feet and is widening the channel to 475 feet. The WRDA bill currently passed with Congressional approval from the House of Representatives and is currently moving through the Senate for approval. It will give the Port the ability to move through the process with the Army Corps of Engineers to move toward -50ft.
Argent LNG will supply fuel to power generation assets across Japan, Southeast Asia, Europe, South America, the Caribbean, and the MENA region, prioritizing reliable energy supply to allied nations across the Americas.
Anticipating an LNG supply shortfall by 2030, Argent LNG collaborates with governments, industry stakeholders, and international organizations to accelerate project development, enhance infrastructure, diversify supply sources, foster technological innovation, and promote demand-side measures.
Argent LNG benefits from its strategic location, with key infrastructure assets in close proximity. Situated within 22 miles of Enbridge infrastructure and only 13 miles from Kinder Morgan lines, our facility enjoys convenient access to established pipelines, facilitating the efficient transportation of natural gas to our liquefaction plant.
Additionally, two existing pipes are located within 1500 meters of our site, further enhancing our connectivity to the broader natural gas network. This proximity to essential infrastructure not only reduces transportation costs but also minimizes logistical complexities, ensuring seamless operations and timely delivery of natural gas feedstock to our facility.
By leveraging our strategic location and proximity to major pipeline networks, Argent LNG is well-positioned to optimize our supply chain and maximize operational efficiency. This strategic advantage enables us to meet the growing demand for LNG while maintaining a competitive edge in the market.
In addressing challenges posed by port traffic, Argent LNG and Port Fourchon recognize the importance of proximity to market demand and cost mitigation. Port Fourchon's strategic location ensures efficient access to global markets, reducing unnecessary drayage expenses. Together, we navigate the evolving LNG landscape, emphasizing proactive collaboration and strategic planning.
Argent LNG will provide affordable clean energy. The USA needs to secure affordable energy to the world. LNG will reduce carbon emissions, helping to lead to cleaner air. Electricity uses 25% of the fossil fuels, LNG lights homes and factories around the world. Argent will manufacture and transport the LNG by modern energy infrastructure run by a world-class workforce.
